How do you choose between so many boxes?
Start with the product, not the box. Ask how it should be held, how it should open and which postal band it has to fit.
The cards fall into four groups. Box styles differ by closure, ecommerce and subscription boxes are built around what goes inside, printed boxes differ by finish, and soft mailers suit items that do not need a rigid box.
- Flat items such as prints and documents: side loading or literature mailers.
- Glass, jars and ceramics: fragile goods or insert fitted boxes.
- A monthly box with changing contents: subscription box mailers.
- A strong brand look on the outside: printed, matt black or white boxes.
- Soft goods that need no walls: paper padded or compostable mailers.
Box or soft mailer?
A box keeps its shape, protects corners and gives you a lid to print. A soft mailer is lighter and slimmer, which suits clothing, books and other items that can bend a little.

Are any of these boxes kept ready-made?
No. Each one is made to order at your inside size, on the board and with the print you choose. The size on each card is only a typical starting point.
Questions
Which mailer box on this page is the cheapest to make?
Plain brown kraft in E-flute, in a simple tuck top or folding small box, usually prices lowest. Print coverage and size are the biggest drivers of cost.
What is the difference between the styles and the printed boxes?
The styles differ by how the box closes. The printed range differs by board colour and finish, and any style can be made with any of those finishes.
Can I search the box list by product type?
Yes. Type a word such as tuck, insert, black or padded in the search box, or use the range filter to narrow the list.
Why does every card say from £0.25?
That is the lowest starting price across the range. Your own price depends on size, board, print and quantity and comes in a written quote.
Are the photos on each card the exact box I will receive?
They are real boxes we have made, but with sample artwork. Yours is cut to your size and printed with your design.
Can I combine features from two different boxes?
Often, yes. An ear lock box can take a die-cut insert, and a white box can be printed inside. Describe what you want and we quote it as one box.
Is a matt black mailer box a different style from a tuck top?
No. Matt black is a finish. Most matt black boxes are tuck top or ear lock in shape, with the colour printed over the board.
Which box suits a subscription with changing contents?
A subscription box mailer sized for your largest monthly set, with void fill or a simple divider for the smaller months.
Do the padded mailers come in custom sizes too?
Yes. Paper padded mailers and compostable mailers are made to a length and width that suits your items, and can be printed.
Can I see more than one box before deciding?
