Terms of Sale

The terms that apply when you order mailer boxes or mailers from The Mailer Boxes.

Quotes

Every order is priced in a written quote. The quote sets out the size, board, print, quantity and price. Prices on the website, such as from £0.25 a box, are starting points only, and the written quote is what applies to your order.

When is a contract formed?

A contract is formed when you approve the final proof and we receive payment. Until then, either side can change or withdraw the quote.

Proof approval

We send a free proof before anything is printed. Please check spelling, sizes, colours and placement carefully. Once you approve it, we print what the proof shows, and errors on an approved proof are your responsibility.

Payment

Payment is due in full before production starts. No payment is taken on this website; payment details are sent with your approved quote.

Production and delivery

Production takes 4 to 6 working days after proof approval and payment. Delivery is free and tracked to UK mainland addresses and takes 2 to 3 working days. We do not deliver to other addresses.

Times are our honest estimate. We will tell you promptly if anything is likely to delay your order.

How much can colours vary?

Printed colours can differ slightly from the proof on screen, from one print run to the next, and between kraft and white-lined board. Small differences of this kind are not faults. If a colour must be matched closely, give us a printed reference before you approve the proof.

What happens if something goes wrong?

Misprints or damage reported within 10 days of delivery with photos are reprinted or refunded. Custom-made goods are not returnable for a change of mind. The reprints and refunds policy sets out the steps.

Liability

Our liability for any order is limited to the price paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost sales or postage costs. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights.

Which law applies?

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Is a price on the website a binding offer?

No. Website prices are starting points. The written quote for your order sets the price you pay.

When does my mailer box order become binding?

When you have approved the final proof and we have received payment.

Who is responsible for a spelling mistake on an approved proof?

The customer. We print exactly what the approved proof shows, so check every word before you approve.

Do I have to pay in full before production?

Yes. Production starts once payment is received for the approved order.

Are delivery times guaranteed?

They are our honest estimate: 4 to 6 working days for production and 2 to 3 working days for delivery. We tell you straight away if anything changes.

What colour difference is acceptable under these terms?

Small differences between the screen proof and printed board, and between print runs, are normal and not a fault.

Can I cancel after paying?

Once production has started the boxes are being made to your specification, so cancellation is not usually possible. Contact us at once if you need to try.

Is there a cap on what you will pay out?

Our liability for an order is limited to what you paid for it, except where the law does not allow a limit.

Which law governs these terms of sale?

The law of England and Wales.

Where can I read how reprints work in practice?

Our help page on orders and reprints answers the common questions in plain terms.
