White Mailer Boxes Cut to Your Size, Plain or Printed

A white mailer box is folded from white-lined corrugated board, so the outer face is clean white rather than brown. It suits beauty, baby, bridal and stationery sellers who want a bright, tidy parcel or a crisp base for colour print.

How to measure for a white mailer box

Set out the item with any wrapping it will travel in and measure length, width and depth at the outermost points. Add 3 to 5 mm to each so the white lid sits flat and the corners stay square.

Give us those figures as the inside size. If a postal band matters, say which one and we will keep the outside within it.

Which board for which job

White-lined E-flute at 1.5 mm keeps the box slim and gives the smoothest white face for print. White-lined B-flute at 3 mm gives thicker walls for bigger boxes and jars, with the same white outer face.

What is a white mailer box?

It is the same roll-over lid mailer as our kraft box, cut from corrugated board with a white liner on the outer face. The flutes in the middle and the inner liner may be brown, so cut edges show a thin line of board.

Left plain, it gives a clean, bright parcel with no print at all. Printed, it acts like a blank page, so colours land close to how they look on screen. It belongs to our printed mailer boxes and finishes range next to kraft and matt black.

Who uses white mailer boxes?

White tends to suit products that are pale, soft or bought as a treat. It also suits sellers who change colours often and want one base that works with any of them.

  • Skincare and beauty brands with pastel or pale packaging.
  • Baby clothing shops sending sleepsuits and blankets.
  • Bridal and wedding favour sellers posting matching sets.
  • Stationery and print shops sending cards, planners and art prints.
  • Bakers posting iced biscuits or cupcakes in a tray inside the box.

If your product line mixes pale and bold packs, a white box keeps every colour honest. One box size in white can serve several products, each with its own printed sticker.

Plain white or printed white?

A plain white box with a printed sticker seal is quick to order and easy to restock. Adding print turns the same box into part of the brand.

Why does print look brighter on white board?

Ink is partly see-through, so the board colour under it changes the result. On kraft, yellows turn mustard and pinks turn dusty. On white-lined board, those same colours stay clean and light.

That makes white the natural choice for pastel palettes, fine photographs and soft gradients. Bold dark colours work on either board, but pale ones need white. White board also needs no underprint, which keeps a full colour job simpler than the same artwork on kraft. Our custom printed mailer boxes page sets out every print level in detail.

Can the inside of a white mailer be printed?

Yes. The inside can carry a pattern, a thank-you line or a full colour design, printed on the same job as the outside. A white outside with a coloured inside gives a calm parcel that opens to something brighter. Subscription sellers often keep the outside fixed and change the inside message each run.

On a white box the inside face may be white or brown, depending on the board, and we confirm which on the proof. Our notes on printing inside a lid cover where text sits safely.

What size white mailer box should I order?

Size from the packed product plus 3 to 5 mm a side. Our typical starting size of 250 x 180 x 80 mm inside holds a folded baby outfit or a three-piece skincare set.

If you want Royal Mail Large Letter, the outside must fit within 353 x 250 x 25 mm. Small Parcel allows 450 x 350 x 160 mm, and Medium Parcel 610 x 460 x 460 mm. Check the current band limits before you order. The full table sits on our mailer box sizes page.

Matt or gloss varnish on a white box?

A plain white box can go out with no varnish at all. Once there is print, a matt or gloss varnish protects the ink from rubbing against other parcels.

Matt keeps a soft, paper-like look that suits bridal and baby ranges. Gloss lifts colour and adds shine, which suits bright patterns. Either can be quoted on the same box.

On a plain white box with only a small logo, varnish is often worth skipping. Ask for both prices on the quote and decide once you have seen the proof.

How do I keep white mailers clean?

White shows marks faster than kraft, so a little care between delivery and dispatch pays off.

  1. Keep the strapped bundles in their outer wrap until the day you pack.
  2. Store them flat on a shelf, off the floor and away from damp walls.
  3. Wash or wipe your hands before folding, especially after handling tape or ink.
  4. Fold only the number you need for that packing session.
  5. Stick the address label straight on, without peeling and re-sticking.

Boxes arrive flat and creased, with free tracked UK mainland delivery in 2 to 3 working days, so a few hundred blanks fit on a single shelf.

Mistakes to avoid with white mailer boxes

  • Expecting the cut edges to be white when the flute shows brown.
  • Packing in a dusty corner and leaving grey fingermarks on the lid.
  • Using a thin pale grey for text that disappears against white.
  • Forgetting clearance, so a tight lid creases across the white face.
  • Leaving no plain area for the postage label on a fully printed box.

Most of these come down to planning on the proof. Mark the label area, check text contrast at full size, and ask if you are unsure how an edge will look.

How do I order white mailer boxes?

Send the inside size, E-flute or B-flute, the quantity and whether you want print. We quote in writing within one working day, from £0.25 a box, and minimums stay low, set per job.

After the free proof is approved, production takes 4 to 6 working days. If a bundle turns up misprinted or crushed, send photos within 10 days for a reprint or a refund. Free tracked UK mainland delivery is included on every order. Ask for a written quote for white boxes or WhatsApp the measurements to +44 7578 382054.

White Mailer Boxes questions

All help topics
Are white mailer boxes white all the way through?

No. The outer liner is white and the flutes are brown, so a thin line of board shows on the cut edges.

Is the inside of a white mailer box white too?

It can be brown or white depending on the board, and the proof shows which. Inside print covers it in any case.

Can I order white mailer boxes with no print at all?

Yes. Plain white boxes are quoted without print and suit a sticker or a stamped logo.

Do pastel colours print well on a white mailer box?

Yes. White board keeps pale pinks, blues and lilacs clean, where kraft would dull them.

Will white mailer boxes get dirty in the post?

They can pick up marks from sacks and conveyors. A matt or gloss varnish over printed areas makes light dirt easier to wipe off.

Can white mailer boxes be printed with one colour only?

Yes. A single ink on white is a low-cost way to add a logo and keeps the box bright.

Is E-flute or B-flute better for a white mailer box?

E-flute gives the flattest white face and suits most sizes. B-flute gives thicker walls for jars and larger boxes.

Do white mailer boxes suit wedding favours?

Yes. A plain or softly printed white box is a common choice for favours and bridesmaid gifts, often with a tissue wrap inside.

Can a white mailer box have a coloured inside?

Yes. A plain white outside with a full colour inside gives a quiet parcel and a bright opening.

How does a logo look on a white mailer box compared with kraft?

Sharper and closer to its on-screen colours. On kraft the same logo looks warmer and slightly darker.

Can white mailer boxes take a die-cut insert?

Yes. Inserts can be cut from white board to match, and they are quoted with the box. Our insert fitted mailer boxes show common layouts.

Will a white mailer box show the address label clearly?

Yes. A plain white panel gives the label a clean background, and you can mark a label area on the proof.
