Who is responsible for your data?

What data do we collect?
- Your name, email address, phone number and shop or brand name, when you fill in a form.
- The box details you send: sizes, quantities, print choices and messages.
- Logo and artwork files you upload or email to us.
- Delivery and invoice addresses when you place an order.
- Basic usage data from analytics cookies, such as pages visited and device type.
Why do we use it?
We use form data to prepare your quote and proof, to make and deliver your order, and to answer your questions. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, and then performing that contract.
We keep invoice records for as long as UK tax law requires. Analytics data helps us see which pages are useful and is used on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the site well.
Do we share or sell your data?
We never sell your data. We share it only with the services we need to run the business: our email and website hosting providers, the delivery company that carries your order, and our accountants. Each receives only what it needs.
How do we use cookies?
The site uses analytics cookies to count visits and see how pages are used. They do not tell us who you are. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work.
How long do we keep your data?
Quote requests that do not become orders are kept for as long as they are useful for follow-up questions, then deleted. Order records and artwork are kept so you can reorder, and invoices for the period tax law sets.
What are your rights?
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict its use. Email info@themailerboxes.co.uk and we reply within one month.
How can you complain?
Please contact us first so we can try to put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection.

What happens to the logo I upload on this site?
It is used to prepare your quote and proof, and kept with your order so you can reorder. It is not shared beyond the people preparing your boxes.
Do you add me to a mailing list when I ask for a quote?
No. We use your details to reply about your quote and order, not to send unrelated marketing.
Can I ask you to delete my quote request?
Yes. Email info@themailerboxes.co.uk and we delete it, unless it is part of an order we must keep records for.
Which cookies does this site set?
Analytics cookies that count visits and show how pages are used. The site does not need them to work, and you can block them in your browser.
Is my data stored securely?
Yes. Data is held with reputable email and hosting providers, and access is limited to the people who handle your order.
